James Ross of Edinburgh

This is a family business that was started by James Ross in a small shop near the University of Edinburgh, in 1880. After coming back from action in the First World War the founder's son, Andrew Ross, joined his father and the business slowly expanded and started supplying other shops particularly with Scotch Tablet. During the Second World War production changed to longer lasting sweets and high boiled sweets were introduced during rationing. The current Managing Director is Graham Ross, the founders great-grandson. Ross' concentrate particularly on typically Scottish Confectionery. Their two best selling products in our shops are Edinburgh Castle Rock and their delicious soft whiteAfter Dinner Mints
